Pitlochry has some of the best untapped MTB terrain in Scotland. Try some of these suggested routes or just adventure on your own, using this map as a guide. For a walk or short bike ride there are excellent trails close to the town. For the more experienced there are some great rides on single track climbing to viewpoints high above Pitlochry.
Routes are shown on the map with colour, but are not way-marked. MTB riders please beware that many of the trails are used by walkers so please take care and give way when required.

The following is an extract from Highland Perthshire Map 1:-

Red (Long) 21km, 745m climb. 3-4 hours bike, 5-6 hrs hike. ….Climb steeply through woods and out onto the open moorland. The views soon become magnificent and just past a bench the path splits, take the left fork towards Bealach, and climb a narrow rocky path to the saddle at 580m.
