Yellow Route. Easy. 6km, 2 hours bike or 3-4 hours hike. To Echo Point and the Three Sisters, Scenic World and spectacular lookout points. On sealed roads or paths, watch out for cars!
Start by heading down Katoomba Street, at the bottom turn left onto Waratah Street, then right onto Lurline Street. Now continue all the way down to the iconic viewing area at Echo Point. There are spectacular views of The Three Sisters and the Jamison Valley. Across the valley to the right is Narrow Neck (described in the red route). On the ridge joining this to Mt. Solitary lookout for the eroded rocks of The Ruined Castle.

Red Route. Hard. Narrow Neck Plateau Bike Ride. 34km, 4 hours ride with challenging steep sections requiring a good level of fitness. This is considered to be the most spectacular ride in the Blue Mountains…
Walkers can follow the Prince Henry path to Echo Point and the Scenic Railway….
Hot Tip. Hire a bike at Blaxland Cycles at 3 Pioneer Place, Katoomba (marked on the map). A reasonable level of fitness is required as Katoomba is in the mountains and there are some steep climbs and descents. Don’t be put off.
