The Surrey Hills, located just 25 miles to the southwest of London, is officially recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The 5 maps in this pack cover a large area of Surrey between Guildford and Dorking. Amongst the labyrinth of trails some of the finest hiking, mountain biking (mtb) and riding in southern England can be found.
There are spectacular views, picture-postcard villages and literally hundreds of long winding woodland trails. From the rolling chalkland downs in the north to the Greensand hills in the south the areas great diversity makes it ideal for an interesting and exciting day out. Each map in this pack describes 3 very different off-road routes to show the very best of this special landscape. Try some of the suggested routes or just adventure on your own, using these maps and routes as a guide.

The Trails. Many long distance paths cross the area including the Greensand Way, Downs Link and North Downs Way.
There are a whole assortment of natural and purpose built trails for MTBs, many of them can be found around Peaslake, The Hurtwood and Leith Hill.
The main named single tracks are clearly shown on the map in green. The UTM coordinates for the start points of these trails is also given and these figures can be entered into a GPS. Some other less well known trails are marked in magenta and the UTM grid allows GPS coordinates to be calculated.
